WEST LOTHIAN YOUTH LEAGUE: Sunday 27 November, 2016, Bathgate Sports Centre

elliotkayA late equaliser denied Bathgate all three points against visitors Forth on a wet and muddy morning in West Lothian.

Thistle created chance after chance with a confident, passing display on a very difficult pitch. However, failure to find the net ultimately cost them two points.

Billy headed home from Elliot’s cross after 18 minutes to put Bathgate in front, and at half-time there was a desire within the boys in blue to secure a second goal. Despite their best efforts, and numerous opportunities in front of goal, it didn’t come.

Forth gained confidence as the second half progressed and managed to gain parity from a set-piece. A free-kick struck from 25 yards found its way past the wall and into Bathgate’s net, leaving the hosts frustrated at full-time.
