A first for Bathgate in playing a friendly against Burntisland.
The game started at a brisk pace with both teams trying to settle into a rhythm. Burntisland went into a 2 goal lead thanks to a combination of slack passing and marking outside the box. Burntisland should have extended their lead but their player took an eternity to shoot when clean through and the danger was cleared.
Bathgate made changes at half time and completely dominated the second half. Goals from Murphy and Harris made the final score 2-2. The proverbial game of two halves and another step towards the league campaign beginning at home to Edinburgh Utd on Wed 6 Aug.
Next game is away to Arnadale in a friendly for the Kenny Carruthers Cup on Thursday 31 Jul at 7.00 pm.
