This Saturday, Bathgate Thistle will take to the field for their final match of the 15/16 season when Lochee Utd are the visitors to Creamery Park.  Later that night the annual Player of the Year awards will be held in the Bathgate Thistle clubhouse.

On the final day of last season the team travelled to Tayport with the prospect of a win or bust match against the then champions; the prize was the retention of our place in the Super League. This season, we welcome our visitors on the final day with the prospect of a top 6 finish in the same league a real possibility.  With just a handful of players signed, a new management team in place and a few days until the big kick off few would have predicted such a position for the club.  However our gaffer Andrew Colley, his assistant Davie Strathie, the staff and the players have worked hard to make it a reality.

This is a real achievement and will be the springboard, we hope, for a strong assault on achieving a promotion place next season.  This Saturday we hold our Player of the Year awards to honour the management, players and staff who have helped to make this season a much more enjoyable one and we cordially invite all those who wish to attend a warm invitation to the evening.

The event will kick off at 7.00 pm in the clubhouse and we will raise a cheer to, all being well, a win on the day for the lads, say goodbye to the 15/16 season and look forward to the next.
