Bathgate travelled through to Barrhead to face a strong Arthurlie side in Saturday’s rearranged friendly.
Both sides started well but Bathgate were caught out by a long ball which was finished well by Barr. Bathgate settled back into the game and played some good football, looking to pass the ball on the ground. Both sides missed chances before Arthurlie stretched their lead to 3-0 midway into the second half.
Barrie Malcolm made some changes to again run the rule over the squad and Liam Healy produced a good finish to lob the keeper to make it 3-1.
Arthurlie were then given a penalty which was converted to make the final score 4-1.
A very good run out for the boys against an established West Super League team and plenty of positives were taken by the management and supporters.
