The first game of the 2014/15 season saw a late comeback from Bathgate earn a 2-2 draw. In an even first half Bathgate created the better chances but lacked the final ball. Edinburgh went ahead when their player skipped past a static defence to rifle the ball home. They went 2-0 up into the second half when the home defence switched off claiming offside whilst the forward fired low past Adamson. With time running out Barry Wales popped up at the back post to flick the ball in. Bathgate pushed forward and were rewarded when Gordon Harris smashed in a shot from 25 yards.
