The game started off slowly as both teams found there feet. On 15 mins the ref gave a soft foul just outside the Bathgate box. From the free kick the Bathgate goalie got his positioning wrong and the shot found it’s way into the bottom corner for 1 – 0 Kinnoull. After this Bathgate came into the game and were on the attack continuous. Around 25 mins the ball broke out to the edge of the Kinnoull 18 yard box which was met by Baird who hit a shot into the top right hand corner to make it 1 – 1. The game continued with Bathgate having most of the possession and attack but went in at half time 1 – 1.

The second half was much the same as the first with Bathgate having most possession and attack. Both teams freshened up with changes mid way through the second half. After this Bathgate had Murphy make a run from left midfield past 3 Kinnoull players and struck a low shot into the bottom left hand corner to make it 2 – 1 Bathgate. Bathgate had a great chance to score again with an excellent cross from the right met by new signing Aitken who only had goalie to beat but keeper made a great save with his leg. Then with around 10mins to go we made it 3 – 1 with a cross from the left met by new signing Aitken who again scored it in the bottom left corner.
