The Jags are in action this weekend in the first home match of 2017.  We return after a two week weather induced hiatus.  Dundee Violet FC are the opponents on matchday 17 of the McBookie.com East Premier League.

Bathgate are unbeaten in their last three competitive games having finished 2016 with back to back wins against St Andrews United away and Dalkieth Thistle at home.  2017 kicked off with a hard earned draw away to Tayport FC.  Last weeks scheduled game away to Forfar West End fell victim to the recent cold weather.  The team currently sit 7th in the league at the half way point.

Dundee Violet FC currently sit bottom of the Premier League.  They were beaten 4-3 by the league leaders, Forfar WE, in their last match.  This was their fourth defeat in a row in the league but despite their poor form of late they have surprisingly been quite fruitful in terms of goals scored – 13 in their last 6 games.

The previous match between the two sides in October finished with Bathgate coming out on top after a solid 3-1 victory at Glenesk Park.  Gordon Harris (2) and Robbie Feeney scored the goals that day.  Bathgate will be determined to keep their unbeaten run going and get some momentum for a strong 2017 while Dundee Violet will be desperate for three points to help them get off the foot of the table.

We would love to have your support at Creamery Park for the match this weekend.  The game kicks off at 1.45pm with entry at £6/£3.  Together we are stronger.
