Without a league game, Bathgate played a challenge match against Livingston FC pro youth 2002.   Despite the friendly billing, both sides played out a hard fought match with Bathgate’s physical presence giving them the edge.  There was a good  turnout to watch the match to see Bathgate win by 7 goals with Ballie scoring 3, Aiden 2, Connor 1 and a Livingston own goal
